Youth in Parts

Youth in Parts is a new publication by artist Jamie George that explores the fragmented experience of youth. It features layered black-and-white photographs of text posters fly-posted across Southeast London. The book presents a fractured narrative that draws a poignant parallel between the ephemeral nature of youth and the enduring beauty of ancient Greek Kouros statues. This evokes a contemplation on how youth is often defined by loss. Each image, with its overlapping texts and decayed surfaces, captures fleeting moments that echo the transient yet timeless struggles of identity and impermanence.
