Skorched

Compiled during an intense summer heat wave, Skorched brings together a collection of diverse imagery by the young independent Canadian photographer, Connor Dobbin. Combining original and appropriated imagery, together with an evocative text by Sierra Armour, Dobbin’s book unfolds as a sprawling, hypnotic visual essay, evocatively interweaving striking portraits with experiences and imagery taken at the automotive parts factory were he works.

Largely self-taught and unconstrained by conventional production expectations, Dobbin’s unique, analog approach to image making creates a temporal, almost otherworldly assemblage of images.
