Within this title Fedir Monastyrenko turns his lens toward the Ukraine of the late 1990s and early 2000s, capturing life with a candid, humanistic eye. Approximately 90% of the images originate in Sumy between 1997 and 2007, while others document Lubny, Kyiv, Odesa, and Makiivka. Monastyrenko’s photography preserves the everyday pulse of urban and provincial Ukraine during a pivotal era, revealing the subtle poetry of ordinary moments.
